I'm a US Navy veteran, CTI3. In addition to my writing, which I love, I also work as a Veterans Service Officer to help veterans in need. I love what I do both in my writing and in helping veterans.

I have a son, Dakota, age 10, and a husband, Tim, both of whom I adore. At least until my son steals my notes and writings to read them off in some obscure corner of our apartment complex, then as I'm chasing him down I ponder the depths of motherly love. I'm constantly prying my manuscripts from his little vise-grip fingers. Dakota's an avid reader much like myself (he snagged my copy of Twilight and held it hostage for over 2 years!).

I live in the Cincinnati area and absolutely love it! Having lived in Texas for most of my childhood, the refreshing rains and cooler temperatures are perfect for me. I absolutely love the cold. That is probably one of the main reasons I center my stories in a locale like Alaska in Shifting Sky. Tim works for Amazon! I mean, really? Need I say more? He loves it, of course. Although, my book buying at said company, he doesn't particularly care for. I can understand somewhat since my Kindle library includes over 2000 titles, but I'll never tell him! And it goes without saying that you shouldn't either.
