About the Book
This set of videos is designed as a compliment to the Yoga Balance Basics ebook. It focuses on "weight shifting" exercises while standing so that you can learn both how to activate your feet and ankles for greater stability and how to use your feet to "sense" where you center of gravity is. The videos follow a gradual progression to increase awareness and understanding so that by the end of the series you also know how to use your feet to remain balanced. This means using your feet to lever your center to where you want it to be.
The later videos in this set also include breathing exercises so that you can synchronize weight shifting with inhales and exhales.
This set of videos is suitable for anyone who wants to gain a better understanding and experience of balance. Because all of the exercises involve slow and gradual weight shifting, most of the exercises are suitable for Seniors and others with poor balance awareness.
These exercises are also suitable for anyone who practices Tai Ji since the exercises themselves where inspired by my own practice of tai ji and learning to feel the difference between "Full" and "Empty" or "Strong" and "Relaxed."
Exercises are short and easy to understand so that you can get on with doing them. Also, the exercises can feel very soothing, like rhythmic meditations.
